In this context, this paper presents the technologicalbasis for developing new solutions for building envelopes manufactured with high levels ofrecycled raw materials from the stony and plastic fractions of construction and demolitionwaste (C&DW).This work deals with the manufacturing and characterisation of multilayer system comprisingtwo external layers manufactured with microconcrete and a core layer elaborated withrecycled C&DW plastic bound with cement. After defining mix proportioning and themanufacturing process, panel prototypes (600 x 600 mm) were cast at laboratory scale inorder to validate the product. Test results showed an increase in thermal insulation up to400% and 30% weight reduction in comparison with a solid concrete panel used as reference.Mechanical resistance slightly decreases but ensuring sufficient strength to fulfil the designconditions.37º <strong>IAHS</strong> <strong>World</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> On Housing Science 76
