It will last 4 years and its Budget is close to 7 million Euros. Themain objective is the development of an integrated system for management of sustainableretrofitting of existing buildings, in order to improve their energy efficiency. Themethodology and computer tools are developed in the project framework, according withcurrent Spanish legislation and Building Energy related classification.This will make possible its standardization and its future use as a support tool for decision. Aresearch on the potential use of renewable energy sources and the best use of conventionalenergies in existing buildings will be performed. A software model for definition of theirintegration and analysis of building response will be developed and assessed for realbuildings. Finally, a real retrofitting experience will be implemented and analyzed as ademonstrator for the Project.. Besides the main objective of the project, additional derivedtargets have been detected and will also be addressed. Among these are: reduction ofconventional energy consumption during the use and operation, decrease of CO2 and otherpollutant emissions and improvement of residential living indoor environmental conditionsand workplace health conditions in office buildings.37º <strong>IAHS</strong> <strong>World</strong> <strong>Congress</strong> On Housing Science 339
