The tunnel conta<strong>in</strong>ed no preservedwood at all with the exception of a series of short parallel planks nearthe outside entrance that may or may not have been associated withthe house. Two sizeable stones found at the step-up <strong>in</strong>to the ma<strong>in</strong>body of the house may have served as reta<strong>in</strong>ers at this po<strong>in</strong>t.should be noted that except <strong>in</strong> a few places, bench and floor levelswere extremely th<strong>in</strong> and poorly def<strong>in</strong>ed. Obviously, much wood wasremoved from this structure prior to collapse and a short, possiblyseasonal, occupation may also be <strong>in</strong>dicated.It
