Mission Description and Budget Item JustificationThis project supports the engineering, system development and demonstration, and transition to procurement of Future Force Tactical Bridge Systems. Effortssupported include the integration and testing of forty-six meter capability for the Dry Support Bridge (DSB)as well as the development, integration and testing forfloat capabilities for the Dry Support Bridge (DSB). Other efforts include the development, integration and testing of the Bridge Erection Boat(BEB) and testing of theProgram of Record (POR) Line of Communication (LOC) bridge. This project also includes the development and testing of light assault gap crossing capability, aremote controlled automatic launch for the REBS and integrate and test the Rapidly Emplaced Bridge System (REBS) on a Stryker chassis, various bridging productimprovements such as upgrade of Armored Vehicle Launch Bridge (AVLB), to higher Military Load Classifications, development of a health monitoring system, andtesting of failure modes for composite bridges. Additionally, these funds support the development and testing of the Joint Assault Bridge (JAB) system.B.
