<strong>the</strong> size, <strong>the</strong> name of <strong>the</strong> user that uploaded <strong>the</strong> file, <strong>the</strong> upload time,<br />

and finally, a description of <strong>the</strong> image. If you follow <strong>the</strong> link<br />

“(desc)”, you will come to <strong>the</strong> corresponding wiki page with <strong>the</strong> image.<br />

All of <strong>the</strong>se pages are located in <strong>the</strong> namespace Image. Here, you<br />

will first see <strong>the</strong> image itself with a description that you can also<br />

modify. Underneath, in <strong>the</strong> section Image history, <strong>the</strong>re is an automatically<br />

generated list with <strong>the</strong> various versions of <strong>the</strong> image and<br />

<strong>the</strong> corresponding version functions. The section Image links is also<br />

automatically generated, and displays a list of <strong>the</strong> pages in which <strong>the</strong><br />

file has been integrated.<br />

Tip: Remember that <strong>the</strong> editable description of an image may no<br />

longer be applicable if an image has been overwritten; <strong>the</strong> description<br />

may need to be edited accordingly.<br />

Now we come to <strong>the</strong> real purpose of our exercise: integrating an image<br />

on a page. The (pseudo) namespaces come into play again here.<br />

If you only wish to supply a link to <strong>the</strong> image without actually displaying<br />

it on <strong>the</strong> page, set a link to [[Media:imagename]]. To<br />

create a link to <strong>the</strong> image page (with additional information), place a<br />
