Are They Ready?According to (Trepper, 2000), there is lack of understanding of e-commerce fundamentals and some organizations have no idea for thecomplexity or the infrastructure needed. “Organizations often develop a Webpresence simply because some executive read about it on his or her lastairplane flight. When the organization’s Web site doesn’t deliver onexpectations, the “blame game” starts. And, of course, the executive whostarted it all never seems to get hit!” (Trepper, 2000).In order to answer these questions and similar ones, we at the Departmentof Contemporary Sciences and Technologies at <strong>South</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>European</strong><strong>University</strong> conducted a survey targeting Small and Medium Enterprises inMacedonia that produce products for export mainly. This survey contained aquestionnaire of about 40 questions ranging from company info totechnology usage and new trends in e-commerce, specifically B2B e-commerce.108
