Teuta Iljazi, Ma.; Sadri Alija, MSc.Graph 8:Statistical AnalysisIn order to illustrate the interpretation of data, the drawing of conclusionsand statistical decision-making, we will use logistic regression in order tobuild up a mathematical model which considers the success/failure of mathas a function of a measured variable. Success has been taken as a reactingvariable (success = 1, failure = 0), whereas as a measured variable groupwork has been taken (traditional = 1, in groups = 2). By applying the resultsfrom the final scores in the MedCalc program, we get Tables 4 and 5, for thereacting variable Y and the predicting variable X . We have constructeditwo models of logistic regression: the first one expresses the impact of groupwork against the success/failure in mathematics for all students. The secondregression includes students that did not take the final exam (IN), where theywere treated as failing grades, since we think that the majority of them didnot take the final exam because they managed to earn very few points apartfrom the final exam which in itself was only 40% of the final grade.Table 4: Logistic regression Model 1iDependent Ypass=1; fail=0MethodEnter166
