SEEU Review Volume 6, No. 2, 2010Overall, the organization functioned properly. The open communicationand the camaraderie of the staff seemed to be the key reason the organizationwas functioning effectively. The system is constituted through the reciprocalrelationship between management and employees to facilitate these qualitiesand support such employee needs.A first area of strength includes the following: 1) a clear and concisemission and vision statement; 2) shared reality; 3) a clear grasp of their placein the organization; and 4) synergy. The focus on group decision making helps theorganization reach consensus which works well in this type of system. The strengths of this organization greatly outweigh the weaknesses. I didnot note any major weakness which is primarily due to my position as anoutsider and a researcher. This position influenced my observation of the93
