So they were stuck.Now that's what was said in our references. They said, "let's testit; let's test it in humans with the same degree of sophisticatedexperiments that we use in animals." What does that mean?And then they published their test sites. And the test sites areexactly where AIDS is. We had these huge laboratories overthere. So what do you conclude?LEN: That they're going to have to test it in a population.ROBERT: Exactly. And then it says we're going to test thesethings in sibships - brothers and sisters from the same family.And they were going to study the time course of the infection.And then we said, well, what do you mean by that? And theysaid, well, we're gonna study the antibody response. And I said,well you already knew the antibody response. How could therebe any time course to that. The only thing that a time coursecould refer to is an infection. Which means you had to haveactive particles. That's all in the references, [26] Anyway in 1972they said, let's make a T-cell destroyer.
