God shows and revealsthese secrets before their eyes. Thus they come toknow with certainty that fear <strong>of</strong> separation comesfrom God, as do security, comfort and all spiritualdisplays.Now this fear <strong>of</strong> separation does not resemblethe fears that most men and women know,because it is a result <strong>of</strong> revelation and experience.God clearly shows the saint that all things belongto God. The philosophers may know this, butthey know it by intellectual pro<strong>of</strong>, and pro<strong>of</strong> isnot permanent. The pleasure that comes frompro<strong>of</strong> will not last.
