If something exists, then showus where it is!”<strong>Rumi</strong> answered: Your demand is invalid fromthe very start. You say, “Show me where it is,”but that Thing has no place. Come then, tell me,where is your objection? Is it on your tongue, inyour mouth, or within your breast? Searchthrough all <strong>of</strong> these—divide them piece by piece,atom by atom, and you will still not find yourobjection, nor any thought. From this we realizethat thought has no place. Since you do not knowthe place <strong>of</strong> your own thought, how could youknow the place <strong>of</strong> the Creator <strong>of</strong> thought?Thousands <strong>of</strong> emotions and moods come overyou without your choice, for they are completelyoutside your power and control.
