Whenthoughts <strong>of</strong> the resurrection come to us, like thesun it melts those snows <strong>of</strong> sinfulness as the sun inthe heaven melts anything hard. How can thesummer sun come and leave the snow and ice <strong>of</strong>winter intact? Seeing their snow and ice piledheap upon heap is pro<strong>of</strong> that the sun has notshone upon them.Although God has promised that all good andevil will be rewarded justly on the last day, yet asample <strong>of</strong> this comes to pass every moment and inevery instant. If happiness enters into someone’sheart, that is his or her reward for making anotherhappy. If they become sorrowful, it is becausethey have brought sorrow to another.
