<strong>Kinross</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> Corporation<strong>Maricunga</strong> <strong>Mine</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Report</strong>7.2 StructureMost of <strong>the</strong> structural trends affecting <strong>the</strong> Verde and Pancho deposits are related to fracturesystems ra<strong>the</strong>r than fault zones. The dominant trends are north-nor<strong>the</strong>ast and northnorthwestfracture systems that can be readily identified at Verde. At Pancho, <strong>the</strong> dominantstructural trend is northwesterly, reflected not only in mineralized structures but also in late,post mineral structures.One of <strong>the</strong> main structural features influencing <strong>the</strong> Pancho deposit is Falla Guatita faultzone. Field mapping suggests that <strong>the</strong>re may be significant vertical displacement on thisstructure. The distinctly higher copper grades and presence of potassic alteration in <strong>the</strong>main zone suggests that <strong>the</strong> central portion of <strong>the</strong> Pancho deposit may have been downdropped.
