PP-II-123INFLUENCE OF ZEOLITES STRUCTURE ON Со/ZEOLITE CATALYSTSPERFORMANCE IN FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESISSineva L.V., Mikhailova Y.V., Svidersky S.A., Mikhailov M.N.,Krylova A.Y., Mordkovich V.Z.United Research and Development Centre, Moscow, RussiaE-mail: SinevaLV@yrd.ruThe influence of zeolites nature on Co catalysts performance in hydrocarbons synthesisfrom СО and Н 2 was investigated. The best result, i.e. the highest C 5+ hydrocarbons yield andselectivity, was obtained for zeolite Beta-based Co catalyst. The variations in C 5+ molecularmassdistribution is explained by contribution of hydrocracking process.Competitiveness of Fischer-Tropsch process in comparison with traditional oil refiningprocesses in hydrocarbon production is determined by the efficiency of the catalyst. Zeolitebasedbifunctional Co catalysts represent separate interest as they combine the functions ofFisсher–Tropsch catalysts and hydrocracking/isomerization. It is necessary to note that thebifunctional catalysts cited in literature are usually a physical mixture of a Fischer–Tropschsynthesis catalyst and zeolites or, alternatively, the zeolite-based Co catalysts for aromatichydrocarbons production. The goal of the present work is the study of influence of zeolites nature on Co catalystsperformance in the hydrocarbons synthesis from СО and Н 2 .The catalysts were prepared by impregnation of the zeolites with aqueous solution of Conitrate. Used zeolites were Beta (Si/Al ratio is 40), TsVN (Si/Al ratios are 32 and 80), ZSM-5(Si/Al ratio is 80) and ZSM-12 (Si/Al ratio is 80) in H-forms. Cobalt content was 20 wt. %.The Fischer–Tropsch synthesis was carried out in the flow-type fixed-bed reactor at 1 bar. Before synthesis catalysts were activated in hydrogen flow.XRD study of zeolites showed that zeolites stability at thermal treatment decreased in thefollowing order: ZSM-12 > ZSM-5 > TsVN (Si/Al ratio is 80) > TsVN (Si/Al ratio is32) > Beta. C 5+ yield increased in the following order: ZSM-12 < ZSM-5 < TsVN (Si/Al ratiois 80) ~ TsVN (Si/Al ratio is 32) ~ Beta. C 5+ selectivity increased in the following order:ZSM-12 < ZSM-5 < TsVN (Si/Al ratio is 80) < TsVN (Si/Al ratio is 32) < Beta. All thatmeans the thermal stability of zeolites correlates with catalytic properties of Co-zeolitescatalysts.390
