PP-III-64ABOUT WHAT MANUFACTURE OF CATALYSTS IS SILENT?Bakaev A.Ya.LLC Schelkovsky Catalyst Plant, Schelkovo, RussiaE-mail: scat2006@yandex.ruBy the example of the Schelkovsky catalyst plant the renewal of the catalyst manufactureafter recession in 90th years has been shown. It is stated that in 2006 the production capacityhas reached approximately 40 % related to 1990. The aspects of problems arising in capacityincreasing due to severe competition on the catalyst market, insufficient technicalmaintenance and economic complexities concerning a science and manufacture has been headlighted. The decision on creation of the Russian Catalyst Association due combiningnumerous catalyst manufacturers has been made.Scientific bases of catalysis, catalytic processes and contact devices, ways of preparationof catalysts - mainstreams of scientific activity of Georgy Konstantinovich Boreskov.Besides, he could unite a science and manufacture, having created a special designingtechnologicalbureau of catalysts and a number of catalysts manufactures. Therefore, due toacademician Boreskov G.K. in the middle of 80th years it has been created in Voskresensklarge-tonnage manufacture sulfur acid vanadium pent oxide catalysts which capacityapproximately on 70 % provided needs of all country for the given catalysts. Catalysts IC-1-4and IC-1-6 till now are successfully maintained in industry, but, unfortunately, already almostfor 10 years are not produced.Recession of industrial production in the country in 90th years has touched alsomanufacture of catalysts because of which the significant approximately 80 % reduction ofdelivery amounts of domestic catalysts has been taken place.To return the lost positions it is very difficult in a competition to such international firms,as Engelhard, Shell, BASF, etc.Becoming of manufacture of catalysts in the Russian Federation is complicated with thefollowing reasons:- dissociation numerous catalysts manufacture;- economic complexities concerning a science and manufactures;- difficulties in technical maintenance and selection of personnel.However, it is possible to note growth of volume of manufacture of domestic catalystslast years.By the example of work of LLC Schelkovsky catalyst plant the increase in volume ofrelease of catalysts (fig. 1) is visible. After 2000 the factory has increased more than twicemanufacture spherical aluminum oxide and on his basis manufacture of sorbents, desiccants,catalysts of gas purification. Manufacture of sulfur acid vanadium pent oxide catalysts,587
