PP-I-35COMPARISON CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF SUPPORTED AND HOMOGENEOUSCATALYSTS IN REACTION OF OXIDATION α-PINENE AND2,3,6-TRIMETHYLPHENOLEMenshikov S.Yu., Sennikov M.Yu. 1 , Ostroushko A.A. 1 , Кovalyova E.G., Petrov L.A.,Saloutin V.I.Institute of Organic Synthesis Ur.Br. of RAS, Ural State University, Ekaterinburg, RussiaE-mail: kox@ios.uran.ruIt was investigated catalytic activity of homogeneous complexes Сu (II), Co (II) and Mn(<strong>III</strong>), and also the heterogeneous species containing in the structure some transition metals(Cu, Mo, Co) in reaction of oxidation an alpha - pinene and 2,3,6-trimethylphenole.For the investigated catalysts values of specific rate of oxidation of substrates in areactionary mixture are determined. The oxidation of α-pinene by O 2 and H 2 O 2 continue to draw attention of researchers aswhen non-polluting oxidisers are used for oxidation [1, 2]. In our work catalytic activity wasinvestigated of supported on polymeric carriers chelates Co, Сu, and also of a polymeric-saltcomposition of polyvinyl alcohol with ammonium heptamolybdate, in comparison withhomogeneous complexes Сu (II), Co (II) and Mn (<strong>III</strong>) including those capable of reversibleattach of O 2 [3]. Catalytic experiments were conducted in organic or aqueous solutions in astatic system containing a glass reactor with two divisions positioned inside a thermostat. Twodivisions in the reactor allow preventing mixing of individual components of reaction solutionup to finishing all preparatory operations. All initial kinetics with a reaction order ≠ 0 wastreated as pseudo-first-order reactions. The initial rates of O 2 conversion were calculated bythe method presented in previous article [4]. Kinetic studies have shown, that catalyticproperties of homogeneous 2-methylpiridinic complexes Co (II) provide the highest initialrate of oxidation of a α-pinene from all investigated homogeneous complexes. They can bearranged depending on the activity in the following order: (2-MeC 5 H 4 N) 2 CuCl 2 < Co(acac) 2
