In order to succeed all immigrants, residentaliens, resettles of German origin as well as EU citizens are offeredsome basic services like a language course supporting the people’sown integration efforts. Successful integration of resident aliens is inthe host society’s interest as well as on behalf of the migrants. TheGermans are to learn that immigration is not a threat, but a chancefor the country. Both, immigrants and host society are to make theircontribution for a successful integration. The Federal Ministry of theInterior sees itself as a helping hand along the way. The FederalOffice for Migration and Refugees indicates as a goal of integrationthat immigrants partake equal in social, political, cultural andeconomic German life.
