TEFI TCA – id. code 3919average unemployment benefit was affected by the Republic ofLithuania Law on Social Security of Unemployment that has come intoforce in January 1, 2004 (Žin., 2004, Nr. 4-26). Lituanian LabourExchange offers job seeking persons informal, consulting, vocationalguidance, increase in motivation, skills renewal and solidifying,employment support programs and other measures. The Law onSupport of the Unemployed had been in force to August 1, 2006,(Žin., 1991, Nr. 2-25). Article 1 of this law provided that citizens ofthe Republic of Lithuania shall have the right to freely choose a job orengage in other activities not prohibited by the laws, article 2 – thatthis law shall be applicable to foreign nationals and stateless personsin general manner, except for the cases regulated by separate lawsand international agreements. This law and other legal acts,regulating the Labour Exchange activities, provides therepresentatives of national minorities the same rights and duties asto other citizens of the Republic of Lithuania. Separately the Programof Integration of the Gypsies into Society for 2000 - 2004 years,approved by the Government Resolution, has been implemented(Žin., 2000, Nr. 54-1580). (žr.
