5. PROJECT OUTCOME
As at the end of the SaiCare Programme period, the total number of Gayatri Chanting done
by the various Centres throughout Malaysia is 26,465,000. This has exceeded the target of 25
million which was set at the beginning of the SaiCare Programme.
The Gayatri Chanting Programme has greatly increased the awareness of the power of
prayer, and the number of devotees chanting the mantra has increased dramatically.
Gayatri Mantra chanting sessions have been held in Centres, Temples, and homes as well as
for the sick. During such sessions, explanations of the Mantra and its power have been
explained.
Public awareness has also been raised through Public sessions such as the one held in
Penang, where Gayatri Mantra was chanted 108 X 5 rounds by more than 350 devotees and
members on public on 29 Aug 2010. Besides chanting, there were talks on the Gayatri
Mantra.
