1. Introduction
The Animal Care Project took effect from 01/08/08. The program will include :
1) centres try to adopt all already existing animal shelters
2) encourage devotees to participate in animal seva programme either by the centre
or by other NGO’s like SPCA,PAWS and private shelters
3) introduce animal care at bal vikas / EHV to encourage children to be more animal
caring
4) feeding of stray, abandoned animals especially cows, dogs , birds and other
deserving animals
5) rescuing stray animals and giving them necessary veterinary assistance with the
help of local veterinarians
6) encourage all centres to promote vegetarianism among devotees
2. Objective
a) To provide free medical and surgical care to animals like dogs and cats.
b) To assist SPCA and other animal welfare organizations in trying to find homes for
abandoned animals
c) To rehabilitate and treat stray dogs and cats with the help of Veterinarians who
are willing to join the programme.
d) To provide free vaccination and spaying for pets whose owners are unable to
afford paying for such services.
e) To instil the compassion for animals in the public.
The participants in these projects can be expected to develop love and care for
animals, and recognise animals also as creations of god.
3. Expected outcome
a) love & care for animals
b) Less stray animals on the road
c) A society which is more Caring towards animals.
d) less killing of animals for food
e) instilling love for all gods creatures
f) indirectly reducing the negative vibration affecting the earth
