SAI-CARE An Offering for Humanity and Nation Building Typical Community Adoption Programme - Desa Mentari Location: Ten Low Cost flats, next to Kampong Medan, off Sunway. Centres participating: Brickfields, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, SS.3, Sri Muda and Bangsar Population: About 80,000 Breakdown: Malays 80% Chinese & others 2% Indians: 18% Activities carried out: See below No of devotees : About five hundred all working at different times. The Location has a very high Crime Record, and the Ministry of National Unity asked the Sai Council to run another San Peng Like project here. They called all the Block Leaders and had a dialogue session with them to discuss the various projects that can be carried out. After the meeting ,various projects were agreed to be implemented there. The following was carried; Drama competition between the blocks. First a workshop was conducted on the finer points of drama. A professional Malay film director conducted the workshop.
