1. Introduction
We live in a country that has been blessed with good life for most. Nevertheless there
are pockets within our country where our brothers and sisters are less fortunate. They
have not benefited the bounties that we have had for so long and which we had
taken for granted.
The greatest gift that we can offer for Bhagavan Baba’s 85th birthday is to do
something of permanent benefit for these less fortunate people. There are poor
families living in houses with broken and leaky roofs and walls, who can lead a better
life if we can provide them with an improved home.
2. Objective
This project seeks to provide material and willing hands to repair the roofs and walls of
85 houses for the benefit of the poor and needy, to provide shelter and protection
from the elements. Devotees participating will have an opportunity to develop love
and empathy through this service.
3. Implementation
• Letters will be sent to all centre chairman and state coordinators throughout
the country to inform them of this noble project.
• Guidelines will be issued as to the criteria for selection. Please see attachment
on methodology, which can be used as a guideline.
• Final decision will be left to the Centre Chairman.
• Finance will be left to the Centres to manage. (In exceptional cases, an
appeal can be made to the Council).
• Letters will be sent to welfare departments (Jabatan Kebajikan) throughout the
country informing them of this project and requesting them to identify cases
that need major & minor repair.
4. Expected Outcome
• To provide a better life for poor families by repairing their houses and giving
them a better home to live in.
• Create a caring and loving society.
• Sai Children and Youths to experience the living challenges of the less
fortunate.
• Transformation of the self and the infusion (and spreading) of spirituality and
prema in participating devotees.
