SAI-CARE An Offering for Humanity and Nation Building 3. Adoption of Poor Families • To provide relief and help in the eradication of hardcore poverty. • To assist in the economic and social upliftment of the residents. • To provide education support for the youth & children. Through the participation of devotees in this project, love and care for the less fortunate can be nurtured. 4. Animal Care a) To provide free medical and surgical care to animals like dogs and cats. b) To assist SPCA and other animal welfare organizations in trying to find homes for abandoned animals c) To rehabilitate and treat stray dogs and cats with the help of Veterinarians who are willing to join the programme. d) To provide free vaccination and spaying for pets whose owners are unable to afford it. e) To instil the compassion for animals in the public. The participants in these projects can be expected to develop love and care for animals, and recognise animals as part of the divine creation. C. MediCare Projects 1. Specialist Medical Camps • To reach out to the poor and needy for their health related problems • To create health awareness among underprivileged and less fortunate men, women and children • To bring the above problems to the attention of the Ministry by submitting the survey forms and the relevant reports • To provide free specialist medical screening to the hardcore poor (who normally do not have access to such care) and help to provide specialised medical needs. At the same time some with serious health problems may also be identified and recommendation for follow-up action be given, such as surgery etc. 2. Surgery Assistance • To identify & provide free surgery to identified hardcore poor and underprivileged people irrespective of race & religion. • To bring relief, joy, happiness and permanent benefit to the underprivileged, and relieve financial burden of the family members.

General Health Screening Camps To provide free medical screening to the hardcore poor (who normally do not undertake routine medical screening) and help to provide basic medical needs. At the same time some with health problems may also be identified and recommendation for follow up be given, such as surgery, consulting specialists, etc. A total of 8 Medical Screening camps to be conducted throughout the country. 4. Denture Project To provide free dentures for the hardcore poor. 5. Blood Donation • To encourage devotees and the public to donate blood (liquid love), which could be used to save lives. • To educate Malaysians from all walks of life on the importance of blood donation. Donating blood not only helps the recipient but also helps the donor to regenerate new blood in the body. • To create and cascade information on donating blood and its benefits • To create opportunities for centres & bhajan units & individuals to gain experience in managing such projects/events . • The public must have minimum awareness of blood donation and ever ready to help/donate if his/her blood is needed to save a life. • Through blood donation, the devotees and public will be able to recognise that their body is a gift from God, and by donating their blood, they are expressing their gratitude to God, while helping someone in need of blood 6. Organ Donation Pledges • To encourage devotees and the public to pledge their organs (on death) • Through these pledges, the devotees and public will be able to recognise that their body is a gift from God, and they have a spiritual duty to donate their organs to benefit needy persons
