6.1.3 Access to Credit<br />
<strong>Agriculture</strong> Finance Corporation (AFC) remained a key player in advancement <strong>of</strong> Agricultural credit to farmers while<br />
many commercial banks significantly increased lending to the sector. In the financial years 2012/2013 and 2013/14,<br />
AFC disbursed Kshs. 3.32 billion and Kshs. 3.23 billion to farmers respectively. The corporation had disbursed KSh 1.91<br />
billion to farmers during the 2014-<strong>2015</strong> FY asat March, <strong>2015</strong>.<br />
