9.5 State Department <strong>of</strong> Livestock Programmes & Projects<br />
The State Departments <strong>of</strong> Livestock targets development <strong>of</strong> the livestock sub sector through support to the various<br />
livestock enterprises which include: cattle, poultry, sheep and goats, rabbits, apiculture, pigs, camels and emerging<br />
livestock. Livestock programmes and projects are aimed at supporting pastoralists in the ASALs and dairy farmers in<br />
high rainfall areas.<br />
