PrograMMe DescriPti<strong>on</strong><br />
RSBY uses different types of technologies at various stages.<br />
Each type of technology is there for a different purpose.<br />
The following technologies are being used in the scheme:<br />
a. Smart Card Technology<br />
b. Biometric Technology<br />
c. key Management System<br />
d. Web-based Data Transfer<br />
e. Web Portal Services<br />
The web portal of RSBY has multiple roles. It not <strong>on</strong>ly<br />
provides the details of RSBY with the outside world,<br />
but also acts as the portal for data transfer, data sharing,<br />
and a m<strong>on</strong>itoring tool for the internal stakeholders of the<br />
scheme. The aim of the scheme is to use technology not<br />
<strong>on</strong>ly for c<strong>on</strong>trol of fraud and m<strong>on</strong>itoring, but also to find<br />
innovative soluti<strong>on</strong>s. The following activities are being<br />
d<strong>on</strong>e under the programme:<br />
a. Online M<strong>on</strong>itoring through IT Usage<br />
b. Online Claim settlement<br />
c. Online Registrati<strong>on</strong> of Patient<br />
d. Online Grievance Submissi<strong>on</strong><br />
e. Patient Details Tracking<br />
Automated SMS service<br />
A toll free number 18003455384 with dedicated call centre<br />
support has been established for giving replies to the<br />
queries raised by beneficiaries.<br />
Medical audit team<br />
District wise medical audit team has been set up who<br />
provides c<strong>on</strong>siderable support towards assessing all types<br />
of grievances that the hospitals raise or faces.<br />
integrati<strong>on</strong> of rogi sahayata Kendro with rSBY<br />
Rogi Shayaks of Rogi Sahayata kendro were sensitized to<br />
facilitate the RSBY beneficiaries coming to the Hospitals<br />
which were extended up to BPHC and RH.<br />
Women as head of family in rSBY card<br />
To h<strong>on</strong>or the role of Women and to empower them RSBY<br />
card are being printed in the name of the eldest women in<br />
the family as Head. This is d<strong>on</strong>e for first time in India by<br />
any State.<br />

Although the scheme has welcomed a lot, but it is just the<br />
beginning and we are working <strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong>line pre authorizati<strong>on</strong>,<br />
digital record of the patient, and integrati<strong>on</strong> of State Illness<br />
Assistance Fund with RSBY (as top up) for the packages<br />
which are bey<strong>on</strong>d 30,000 ranges.<br />
