The project was started <strong>on</strong> 11th March, 2014. Under<br />

the project all delivery points covering 10 HPDs were<br />

covered.<br />

Geographical area of TS 114,840 sq.kms/44,360 sq.miles and<br />

6.7 lakhs expected deliveries in public health facilities.<br />

Methodology: Strategy for rollout<br />

• State Level Sensitisati<strong>on</strong> Workshop and TOT for<br />

creating State resource pool.<br />

• District level trainings for service providers.<br />

• Rapid assessment of Delivery points prior to<br />

implementati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

• Preparati<strong>on</strong> of score cards and disseminati<strong>on</strong> workshop<br />

focusing <strong>on</strong> complete gap filling.<br />

• implementati<strong>on</strong> of labour room mandatory protocols<br />

and practices.<br />

• Review and gap analysis by identified m<strong>on</strong>itoring<br />

teams.<br />

• Evaluati<strong>on</strong> and discussi<strong>on</strong> of findings at State level.<br />

• M<strong>on</strong>itoring and supportive supervisi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

• The m<strong>on</strong>itoring team in the districts visit the facilities<br />

quarterly for supportive supervisi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

• 154 master trainers and m<strong>on</strong>itors trained.<br />

FinanCial invEstmEnt<br />

The total cost of checking with SCC including initial<br />

assessment, training of all service providers at all Delivery<br />

points, printing of checklist, m<strong>on</strong>itoring and supervisi<strong>on</strong><br />

with periodical assessment Rs. 122.93 lakhs. @Rs. 12 lakhs<br />

per district.<br />

sCalabilitY<br />

• Move from high load delivery points to optimal load<br />

i.e starting from Medical College DPs to District<br />

Headquarter Hospital, sub-district hospitals (aH/<br />

CHC- FRU’S),24x7 PHCs and finally the private<br />

hospitals.<br />

• Move from High Priority districts to all districts.<br />

SCC is unique by addressing important issues missed in<br />

MCH trainings and even included in curriculum at<br />
