ARTIST STATEMENT<br />
Today’s frenetic, rapid-cut popular media serve as foil to the intent of<br />
Contemplations, a series of animated works exploring patterns and<br />
forms inspired by the intricate complexities of nature. This work from<br />
the series shows slowly evolving solid and transparent forms. With<br />
no set beginning or end, the work allows the viewer to become lost<br />
in the complex, organically shifting details and provides an engaging,<br />
calming point of contemplation.<br />

TECHNICAl STATEMENT<br />
The work was animated in Alias Maya Unlimited and rendered<br />
with mental images mental ray. Post-rendering modifications were<br />
completed in Adobe After Effects. The final piece is a 40-minute<br />
continuous loop rendered at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, 30 frames<br />
per second.
