HACE 170 AÑOS / 170 YEARS AGO
La tarde del 4 de abril de 1847 abría sus puertas el Gran Teatre del Liceu, en
su época el teatro de ópera con mayor aforo de Europa. El programa de aquel
día incluía varias piezas de música, danza y teatro. La primera representación
de ópera no llegaría hasta el día 17: Anna Bolena, de Gaetano Donizetti. A
esta seguirían otras muchas, que consagraron al Liceu como uno de los grandes
escenarios del continente. / On the evening of April 4, 1847, the doors of
the Great Liceu Theater opened up as the opera theater with the greatest capacity
in Europe at the time. The program on that day included several pieces
of music, dance and theater. The first opera performance wasn’t seen until
the 17th: Anna Bolena, by Gaetano Donizetti. It was followed by many others
which led the Liceu to becoming one of the greatest stages on the continent.
