I waited about an hour, sipping on my juice cup and
finishing the soggy bran left from the raisin cereal in my
Styrofoam bowl. I looked at the clock, it said 8:50.
10 more minutes.
I cleaned off my tray and headed to the nurse’s station to
smile quickly faded as I flattened my lips and tucked in
my chin, preparing for what I thought was going to be a
good tongue lashing for my rudeness the first day.
Standing right in front of me she whispered, “Do you have
bend upward as if she was holding back her laughter. I
immediately picked up her vibe of forgiveness and we
simultaneously laughed and hugged each other.
