with the condition that when I was born, social services
would immediately take me to be enrolled into foster care.
When Diana awoke from the anesthesia, I was gone. She
too, was alone in her hospital room sobbing after the loss
of her child.
She regretted her decision and tried to rescind the
agreement with social services, but it was too late. I was
already enrolled in foster care and they wouldn’t reveal
my location.
The next month, Diana, tried to take her own life by
swallowing a bottle of pills.
