Amour de Deutz 2007
Offering more delicate, elegant and understated aromas, this 2007 melds red-berry fruits seamlessly with
nectarines, peaches and roses. The palate's fine, elegant and beautifully balanced. There's really superb length
and purity. Drink now.
Amour de Deutz Rosé 2008
A floral, pretty-smelling Champagne that has aromas of honey-drizzled rose petals, strawberries and
raspberries. The palate's super fine, building smooth and creamy with bright, young-strawberry-fruit flavors
and cherries to close. Elegant and precise. Drink now.
William Deutz 2008
A smoothly honed, precise and seductively textural Champagne that has impressive lemon, grapefruit and
peach character, all combined with lightly toasty hazelnuts and a smooth, creamy sorbet-like texture. There's
neat balance, freshness and vivacity here. Drink now through to 2022.
Deutz Brut Rosé 2010
More savory berry-nougat and strawberry-cream aromas, some attractive spicy complexity and toasted
almonds to boot. The palate's smooth, creamy and shows berry-sorbet flavors that deliver a lithe and crunchy
core. There's smoothness to close but also bright acidity. Drink now.
Amour de Deutz 2008
Really fresh and lively showing more peach and lemon curd but with a touch of lime sorbet, too. There's fresh
toasty hazelnut complexity wrapped in a subtle layer on the palate, which all concludes in a bright pastry
finish. Pretty Champagne. Drink now and through to 2020.
Amour de Deutz 2006
Showing much better than in my 2015 tasting, this has a bright and clean nose with plenty of lemons and
peaches. The autolysis makes a fine showing, too. The palate's deeply flavored and has a mix of nectarine and
lemon flavors; it's super clean, elegant and decently powerful to boot. Drink now.
Amour de Deutz Rosé 2006
This has some impressive complexity and layering to it, smelling of bright cherry fruits and pink-grapefruit
citrus. There's also fresh pastry combined with hints of grilled cashew nuts. The palate has a nicely cut, crisp
and even shape – in part thanks to the acidity, which is fine and runs deep. The flavors follow the same berrycitrus
mix seen on the nose. Drink now.
