Youth Activities
What a year! If you haven’t already noticed the bright
colors of our logo, our new office and our promotional
initiatives, it is the perfect representation of the ambiance
of our team at Qarjuit Youth Council.
Qarjuit’s dedicated team has been amazingly
keeping up with all the projects planned for this year:
15 th Birthday Celebration, two issues of the newspaper
Uvikkait Ullumi, the Youth and Elders Retreat and the
Local Youth Actions Funding, to name a few. We
had a lot of fun planning and organizing all these
initiatives in just a year. We would like to say ‘‘hats
off” to the youth of Nunavik who put themselves
out there to participate and to be
engaged. It’s been great witnessing youth
who seem to blossom with confidence
after being surrounded by other youth who have
similar visions and energy. We did a lot of recruiting
and we hope for big improvements for youth to become more
confident in applying themselves to these many opportunities.
They are endless.
Aside from our yearly projects, other exciting things have happened.
We have been working really well as a team and branching
out in our advocacy to present the realities of the day-to-day lives
of youth to leaders and decision makers. On top of our designated
regional seats, we have attended consultations with both provincial

Quelle année! Si vous n’avez pas déjà remarqué les couleurs vives
de notre nouveau logo servant à promouvoir notre bureau et nos
initiatives, elles représentent parfaitement l’ambiance
au sein de l’équipe du Conseil jeunesse Qarjuit.
L’équipe dévouée de Qarjuit a mené à bien tous les
projets prévus pour cette année, notamment la
célébration du 15 e anniversaire, la publication de
deux numéros du bulletin Uvikkait Ullumi, la retraite des
jeunes et des aînés et le programme de financement
destiné aux actions locales pour les jeunes. Nous
avons pris grand plaisir à planifier et organiser
toutes ces initiatives en seulement un an.

ont choisi de participer et de s’impliquer.
Il est formidable de voir des jeunes
s’épanouir avec confiance auprès d’autres jeunes
possédant une vision et une énergie semblables. Nous
avons embauché plusieurs personnes, et nous souhaitons de
grandes améliorations afin que les jeunes puissent renforcer leur
confiance et saisir les innombrables occasions qui s’offrent à eux.
Outre nos projets annuels, d’autres événements intéressants se
sont produits. Nous avons bien travaillé en équipe afin de diversifier
nos activités de sensibilisation auprès des dirigeants et des décideurs
en leur présentant la réalité quotidienne des jeunes. En plus des
postes occupés au sein de divers organismes régionaux, nous avons
