I think we underestimate our children of today. With all the television and the
~ things they hear* talked about in the atomic age, I think they would understand this
’very clearly. I think it is norie too early to teach them that if another person’s cloth,

a thick ,blanket or rug, and then the demonstration of putting out a candle by cutting
off the air. is very, very timely.
-I wguldn’t go into great involved experiment with these children, but I do think
there are ~ some simple facts about fire which should be taught them in the primary
grades. We, do it, anyway ....
