PRESIDENT FOP, TIER: You have heard the nomination of Alfred Koltonski of
Rutland., Vermont, to be_ our State Vice-President @bm Vermont. Are there any
further nominations from the floor?
Upon motion duly made an.d seconded, it was VOTED: That nominations be
closed, and that the Secretary cast one vote for the election of Alfred Koltonski as
Vice-President from the State of Vermont for the ensuing year.
(After the Secretary .had cast the ballot, and the President declared Chief Kol,
tonski duly dected to the office of Vice-President from Vermont, he was escorted
to the rostrum by the Sergeant,at,Arms.)
CHIEF KOLTO!~8KI: I can only say that I hope I can be around again next year
to take your money away from you! (Applause.)
PP,ESmENT FOP,TIEP,: We now come to the nomination o’f a 8tare Vice-President
from Massachusetts. What is your pleasure?
CHIEF KIMBALL: I wi’sh to place in nomination, the name of Chief Thomas H.
Slaman of Wellesley to be the Vice;President from the State of Massachusetts, and
I move that the nomination be closed and that the Secretary cast one ballot for the
election of Chief Slaman to this office.
This motion was then duly seconded by several of the members present.
(The Secretary then cast the ballot, electing ’Chief Slaman to theoffice of Vice-
President from Massachusetts; President Fortier declared him duly elected, and Chief
Slaman was escorted to the rostrum by the Sergeant-at-Arms.)
CHIEF SLAMAN: Mr. President and members of the Association. I want to thank
you for this honor; I appreciate it very much, and I will certainly try to carry out
the duties o.f my offi:ce to the best of my ability. (Applause.)
PRESIDENT FORTIER: We now come to the nomination of a Vice-President from
the State of Rhode Island. What is your pleasure?
CHIEF SAVAGE, Valley Fall, s: Mr. President, I should like to place in nomination
the name of A. J. Cote, as Vice-President of this Association from the State o,f Rhode
Island.
PP,ESIDENT FORTIER: You have heard the nomination of .Chief Cote. A£e there
any further nominations?
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: That nominations be
dosed and that the Secretary cast c,ne ballot for the election of Chief Cote for Vice-
President of the Association from the State of Rhode Island.
(The Secretary cast the ballot; the President declared Chief Cote duly ’elected as
Vice-President from Rhode Island, and, the Sergeant-at-Arms escorted Chief Cote
to the rostrum.)
