<strong>The</strong> University Counseling and Wellness Center provides free and confidential counseling for<br />

currently enrolled students. Staffed by professional mental health counselors, individual and<br />

group counseling services are available through this office. <strong>The</strong> Center takes goal-focused and<br />

collaborative approach to mental health services with out students and community. We strive<br />

to empower USA students to learn the skills they need to address and manage their mental<br />

health concerns so that they can succeed personally and academically during their time at<br />

USA and beyond. We also strive to educate the campus community about the psychological and<br />

development needs of USA students through community-level interventions, including outreach<br />

Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Office<br />

Located in Suite <strong>24</strong>5 of the Student Center, the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of<br />

Students Office is a central point for all student concerns. <strong>The</strong> office is here to help make the<br />

educational experience for students a meaningful and memorable one. <strong>The</strong> Vice President for<br />

Student Affairs and Dean of Students Office strives to facilitate cooperation among students,<br />

faculty and administrators. <strong>The</strong> office provides direction and works in conjunction with other<br />

Student Affairs offices, programs, and services to help ensure the retention, academic progress,<br />

and graduation of USA students.<br />

Dining Services<br />

USA Dining provides all dining services for the University of South Alabama. With locations<br />

open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., students have convenient options for meals or snacks all over<br />

campus.<br />

Located in the residential area of campus, the Fresh Food Company (FFC) is the campus allyou-care-to-eat<br />

dining hall. This is where the meal swipes included with your meal plan are<br />

used. With multiple serving areas and a wide variety of options, <strong>The</strong> Fresh Food Company<br />

accommodates a wide variety of tastes and diets. Inside the FFC, you’ll find True Balance. USA<br />

Dining takes food allergens very seriously and works diligently to accommodate students with<br />

food allergies. All of the foods served at our True Balance station are made without the top 8<br />

most common allergens including: milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, wheat, shellfish, and fish.<br />

Meals served at the True Balance station are prepared in an allergen-free area of the kitchen,<br />

including secluded storage areas to eliminate the chance of cross-contact.<br />

Several other dining options are available for students across campus. <strong>The</strong>se include the<br />

Student Center Food Court with Chick-fil-A, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Panda Express, and Cotton<br />

State BBQ; Starbucks in Marx Library; Einstein Bros. Bagels in Health Sciences; Prowler Bowls<br />

in the Student Rec Center; a cafe in Shelby Hall; a convenience store in Delta Commons; and<br />
