204.1.3 To set, post, and keep office hours.<br />

204.1.4 To work in conjunction with the Chief Justice and President on student traffic ticket<br />

appeals in accordance with Chapter 402.<br />

204.1.5 <strong>The</strong> Attorney General shall oversee and maintain the Student Government<br />

Association’s connection with the STARS committee and the Higher Education<br />

Program.<br />

Chapter 205. Executive Cabinet<br />

205.1 <strong>The</strong>re may be three Executive Directors who shall each be responsible for a<br />

particular division of the SGA. Each Executive Director shall be responsible for a<br />

general function of the SGA and in this capacity shall coordinate and supervise the<br />

committees under his or her division. <strong>The</strong> directors shall be collectively known as<br />

<strong>The</strong> Cabinet and shall report to the Executive Council upon request or as necessary.<br />

205.2 <strong>The</strong> Executive Directors shall be appointed by the Executive Council subject to a<br />

two-thirds approval of the Senate. Directors may be dismissed by the Executive<br />

Council for improper conduct or failure to perform their duties. Specific reasons for<br />

dismissal shall be made available by the Executive Council upon request of a majority<br />

of the Senate.<br />

205.3 First Year Council Director: <strong>The</strong> First Year Council Director will be the liaison<br />

between the First Year Council and the Student Government Association along with<br />

the Freshman-at-Large. <strong>The</strong> First Year Council Director shall be responsible for<br />

reporting back to the Student Government Association President regularly. <strong>The</strong> First<br />

Year Council Director shall be responsible for overseeing the operation of the First<br />

Year Council. <strong>The</strong> First Year Council Director shall be responsible for the application<br />

process of the First Year Council.<br />

TITLE III. Legislative Branch<br />

Chapter 300. Parliamentary Authority<br />

300.1 Roberts Rules of Order (Revised Edition) shall be the Parliamentary authority for<br />

the conduct of the Senate except when in conflict with the Constitution and the<br />

Student Government Association Code-of-Laws.<br />

Chapter 301. Coding System for Bills and Resolutions<br />

301.1 All Bills and Resolutions introduced into the Senate must be numbered by date and<br />

sequence of introduction.<br />

Chapter 302. Procedure for Passing a Bill or Resolution in the Senate<br />

302.1 For a Bill or Resolution to be introduced in the Senate, it must first meet the<br />

following conditions:<br />

302.1.1 For the purpose of uniformity, all bills or resolutions shall be typed or printed with<br />

the title, bill or resolution number, and name(s) of the Senator(s) sponsoring the bill<br />

or resolution, preceding the first section.<br />
