Roger I. Lienke, M.D., was born in 1922 and graduated from the University <strong>of</strong> Minnesota Medical<br />

School in 1946. In 1965, Dr. Lienke founded the first <strong>Family</strong> Practice residency program in<br />

Oklahoma, and served as director <strong>of</strong> the Division <strong>of</strong> <strong>Family</strong> Medicine at the University <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma<br />

School <strong>of</strong> Medicine from 1966 to 1972. In 1967, Dr. Lienke also served as one <strong>of</strong> the founding<br />

members <strong>of</strong> the Society <strong>of</strong> Teachers <strong>of</strong> <strong>Family</strong> Medicine (STFM).<br />

The Roger I. Lienke, M.D. Collection consists <strong>of</strong> Dr. Lienke’s copy <strong>of</strong> the February 1965 edition <strong>of</strong><br />

“Experiences and Attitudes <strong>of</strong> a <strong>Family</strong> Physician Teaching in a Medical School” by Leland B.<br />

Blanchard, M.D.; 2 letters relating to the founding <strong>of</strong> STFM (August-September 1967); a copy <strong>of</strong><br />

the August 7, 1986 special <strong>Family</strong> Medicine issue <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma (Official Publication <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Oklahoma City Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce) featuring an article on Dr. Lienke; and Dr. Lienke’s<br />

nomination application for the AAFP’s Thomas W. Johnson Award for Outstanding Contributions<br />

to <strong>Family</strong> Practice Education in 1992.<br />

Little, David N., M.D. (1949- )<br />

Born in 1949, Dr. David N. Little graduated from Harvard University with his undergraduate degree<br />

in 1971 and received his M.D. from the University <strong>of</strong> Vermont College <strong>of</strong> Medicine in 1975.<br />

Following completion <strong>of</strong> his residency at the University’s <strong>Family</strong> Practice Residency Program in<br />

1978, Dr. Little continued on as a member <strong>of</strong> the faculty <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Family</strong> Practice at the<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Vermont, and practiced at the University’s residency center clinic in Milton, Vermont.<br />

In 1999, his service to both the University and the local community was recognized when he was<br />

nominated for the AAFP’s <strong>Family</strong> Physician <strong>of</strong> the Year Award.<br />

The David N. Little, M.D. Collection consists <strong>of</strong> Dr. Little’s 1999 nomination for the <strong>Family</strong><br />

Physician <strong>of</strong> the Year Award, and includes letters <strong>of</strong> support from colleagues and patients, as well as<br />

several photographs <strong>of</strong> Dr. Little with his patients.<br />

Arthur Lee “Lud” Ludwick, Jr., MD, was born in 1913 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son <strong>of</strong><br />

Arthur L. Ludwick, Sr., MD, a one-time GP who later became a neurologist. After graduating in<br />
