A princess’ dream
Once upon a time in a city not as far away as usually it is in stories, there
lived a princess. She was not ugly or unpleasant. She was not beautiful,
either. She was like a normal girl. But she was very lonely and sad. She
had no friends and she had really big problems with Maths.
When the other princesses were talking about clothes, music and boys,
this princess was standing alone and dreaming. She was dreaming about
a prince, who would come on a white horse and take her away from this
unfriendly place. But all the princes she knew behaved very immaturely
and certainly they couldn't ride a horse. So the princess was standing and
standing and dreaming and dreaming.
The school bell rang again this day. Maths lesson finished and the
princess went out from the classroom with her next bad mark. She took
her coat from the locker room and quickly ran to the bus stop. But when
she was coming out from the school, she heard someone was screaming
very loudly. She turned back and she screamed too. A prince from a
parallel class was riding a bicycle - straight at her! The princess didn't
manage to jump out of the mad rider's route. The bicycle hit and the
princess fell on the ground with the prince. People started to laugh. The
prince turned red and helped the princess to stand up.
“I'm sorry,” he said quietly. “I didn't see you.”
“I'm sorry, too,” said the princess. “I went on your route.”
“Hey, you, donkey!” shouted one prince who was standing near and
laughing. “Who gave you your bike card? He was probably after some
beer!”
“Leave him alone!” shouted the princess and she turned red again.
“Oh, are you his new girlfriend?” shouted that prince. He and his friends
started to laugh louder.
“Maybe.” The princess moved her arms. “It's not your business.”
“Guys, we're leaving! Quickly! Who is afraid of an angry princess?” the
prince and his friends laughed again and went away.
“Do you know those suckers?” asked the princess to the prince, who was
standing quietly behind her.
“Yeah, unfortunately I do,” sighed the prince. “They always annoy me,
'cause I'm shy, I can't ride a bicycle, I'm not good at Maths and I don't
like playing computer games. I'm different, that's all.”
“Oh, I see,” sighed the princess unhappily. “Well, my class guys annoy
me also, because I don't like talking about clothes, boys, lipsticks and
