Khartoum<br />

Khartoum is the capital of Sudan. It is a big <strong>and</strong> beautiful city. It is<br />

crowded with people.<br />

The people who live in Khartoum are from different religions <strong>and</strong><br />

cultures. They uses buses, taxis, trains <strong>and</strong> minibuses for transport. The<br />

Blue Nile <strong>and</strong> the White Nile meet in Khartoum. Telecommunications<br />

are very efficient in Khartoum <strong>and</strong> there are plenty of public telephones<br />

in hotels <strong>and</strong> streets which you can use to phone home. Many of<br />

Khartoum’s buildings are old but there are many new buildings which<br />

are high <strong>and</strong> nice. There are many theatres, museums, cinemas <strong>and</strong><br />

galleries. There are also many historical places to see what the past of<br />

Sudan was like.<br />

There are four members in my family. My name is Rajindra Gunesekera.<br />

My father's name is Senaka Buddhin Gunesekera <strong>and</strong> my mother's name<br />

is Deepika Gunesekera. I have a little brother <strong>and</strong> his name is Dinil<br />

Ravindu Gunesekera <strong>and</strong> his hobby is playing with his train set. My<br />

father's hobby is playing cricket <strong>and</strong> his occupation is General Manager<br />

at Ceycom Global Communications. My mother's hobby is making<br />

lovely dishes for Ravindu <strong>and</strong> me <strong>and</strong> she is a housewife.<br />

The goat<br />

The farmer couldn’t find his goat. The farmer was so unhappy. He<br />

looked everywhere for his goat. He sent the dog to find it. He wondered<br />

whether he would find his goat or not. His dog did not find it. The farmer<br />

did not find his goat.<br />
