Khartoum
Khartoum is the capital of Sudan. It is a big and beautiful city. It is
crowded with people.
The people who live in Khartoum are from different religions and
cultures. They uses buses, taxis, trains and minibuses for transport. The
Blue Nile and the White Nile meet in Khartoum. Telecommunications
are very efficient in Khartoum and there are plenty of public telephones
in hotels and streets which you can use to phone home. Many of
Khartoum’s buildings are old but there are many new buildings which
are high and nice. There are many theatres, museums, cinemas and
galleries. There are also many historical places to see what the past of
Sudan was like.

There are four members in my family. My name is Rajindra Gunesekera.
My father's name is Senaka Buddhin Gunesekera and my mother's name
is Deepika Gunesekera. I have a little brother and his name is Dinil
Ravindu Gunesekera and his hobby is playing with his train set. My
father's hobby is playing cricket and his occupation is General Manager
at Ceycom Global Communications. My mother's hobby is making
lovely dishes for Ravindu and me and she is a housewife.
