The newspaper
The word ‘news’ is the combination of the letters N, E, W and S which
also stand for North, East, West and South respectively. The newspaper
is the media that carries news, views, facts, figures and articles from one
place to another in all directions. There are many national dailies in our
country and abroad which have served their purpose.
The newspaper has certain functions like giving news, views and
entertainment. It is a guidance to people. It is also regarded as a means of
communication; since it is of a nominal cost, even the poor people can
afford it. We can find out the present condition of the world by reading a
newspaper. If anyone has to reveal something to the government, he/she
can do that by writing articles in the newspaper. It provides
entertainment to the readers as well.
The newspaper is of great importance; it is an important source of
knowledge to students besides sticking to the course books. It is useful
for businessman to advertise their products. It is equally important to the
politicians to get to know public opinion. Thus, a good newspaper leads
to developing a country.
Some newspapers are not worth reading. They are influenced by various
forces because they do not provide reliable information. Such
newspapers misguide people. They should be discouraged.
Newspapers are of great importance to us although they have some bad
sides. Newspapers should be used for our benefit and the weaknesses
should be wiped out. The readers should be able to distinguish a good
newspaper from the bad ones.

My friend's bird
When I was watching T.V. I heard a sound. I ran to the kitchen. I saw
my friend's bird was dead. I had to buy another bird. My dad came back
from work. He said: "O my gosh." I was sad then I went to sleep.
