The five senses
Everyday when I go downstairs in my house, I see a teashop from the
front of my gate. In this teashop, there are many Pathans sitting and
having their breakfast, which seems very awful. I also see many cars
parked near the footpath. I think about sitting in a car and going to
school.
When I walk a little ahead, I see a big bakery on my left and many men
working inside and people buying things. I could smell the baked
biscuits and felt a bit hungry. I could also hear the bus sirens, waiting for
the children to come.
When I walk further along the path I see a pan shop which is the colour
of brown, which is really weird. I could hear the recitation of Holy
Qu’ran from that shop.
After the pan shop, there is a small path that crosses over lots of garbage
and buzzing flies, the garbage gives off a bad smell. After crossing the
small path, I sigh with relief.
On the opposite side of the road, I can see a machine making sugar cane
juice and a man standing beside it, which seems very strange. I also see
students of different schools waiting for their buses.
Further along there is a big, busy road where buses and cars are
travelling. There are also people waiting for the road to clear so they can
go across. I cross the big, busy road and see a school where children are
running to enter inside.
Eventually I come to my school where I see children entering the gate
and hear children greeting the gatekeeper, which gives the students a
warm feeling and brings a smile on the gatekeepers face.
