Zanzíbar
Zanzibar is made up of the islands of Unguja and Pamba. These two
islands lie East of Dar-es-Salaam. People from Africa, Oman, India and
other countries, have come to Zanzibar over the last 1,500 years.
Zanzibar has a history that is unlike any other part of Africa. In Eastern
Zanzibar you can find the earliest mosque that was built in about 1775 as
well as the Palace Museum (once the Sultan’s Palace), The House of
Wonders and many other interesting buildings.
Stone Town is full of interesting houses and small shops and there is
always a beautiful smell of cloves and spices in the air.
As well as all of these exciting places to see, Tanzania also has
wonderful, sandy beaches that lie on the edge of the warm Indian Ocean.
These can be found in Dar-es-Salaam, Bagamoyo and Tango as well as
Zanzibar. Visitors can swim, sunbathe, dive and sail for as long as they
want to.
What more could a visitor ask for?

The wolf
Once, in the evening, my uncle came to our place. His clothes were torn
and his horse wasn’t with him. We took him to our house. He just said
“Wolf”. We woke up our neighbour, and told him what had happened.
The whole village knew what had happened. They took their guns and
went to the mountains. The shepherds took their sheep to the village, put
them into the sheep cot and stayed with them.
I was listening with interest, but sometimes I pitied the wolf. They are also
