God won’t ask the colour of your skin,
But will ask the content of the character.
God won’t ask how many friends you had,
But will ask to whom you were a true friend.
God won’t ask how many material possessions you had,
But will ask you if they dictated your life.
God won’t ask what your job title was,
But will ask if you performed your job well to the best of your ability.
God won’t ask what you did to help yourself,
But will ask what you did to help others.
God won’t ask about your social status,
But will ask what kind of class you displayed.
God won’t ask how many times your deeds matched your words,
But will ask how many times they didn’t?

The red eternal ones
The smell of blood and martyrs
Is it the best gift?
The tears live in the ruddy hearts
The poem of freedom will be written
On the warm foreheads
Their spring is draughty
There are no emerald trees
A Palestinian girl
With beautiful eyes
Always sits on these trees
With legends
