Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro has an altitude of 5,895 meters and although this
mountain is close to the equator, it is permanently covered with ice and
snow.
The mountain can sometimes be seen 160 kilometres away.
Mount Kilimanjaro is climbed every year by hundreds of people. The
best months to climb the mountain are January to March and July to
October. Other months are a little too wet and cold.
