Another publication, internationally co-produced, was started in 2000 - the anthology Review of Arbitration
in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the last nine years, the Court has been organizing an international arbitration
conference - Croatian Arbitration Days.
On the international level, the Court cooperates with a number of foreign and international organizations.
Cooperation agreements have been concluded with eight eminent arbitration institutions, and Court representatives
actively participate within the UN Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the SECI
regional initiative.
The Court regularly exchanges experience with institutions from neighboring countries. Thus, an annual meeting
is organized with the representatives of the Permantent Arbitration within the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Slovenia, involving participants on the level of presidencies of both institutions
Chamber’s Representative Offices Abroad In order to promote the interests of the Croatian
economy in foreign countries, the management of the Croatian Chamber of Economy decided to establish representative
offices abroad that would facilitate the access to and increase the competitiveness in internation-
al markets by providing timely and good quality information, finding potential partners and linking them to
domestic business entities, especially to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Chamber established its first representative office in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1996. The first
civilian aircraft to land in Sarajevo belonged to Croatia Airlines, bringing Croatian business people interested
in reconstruction and the establishment of business relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Soon after this, a
representative office in Mostar was established in 1997, and the Representative Office in Banja Luka, although
set up already in 1996, started operation in 2001. Considering the fact that the European Union accounts for
approx. 80% of Croatia’s total commodity exchange and that Brussels is the European capital, the Chamber
established a representative office in Brussels in 2000. Due to the fact that the membership of the Chamber
showed great interest in expanding business cooperation with Kosovo as well as in its reconstruction, the
Chamber also established a representative office in Priπtina in the year 2000. In January 2002, a representative
office was also opened in Belgrade and the one in Kotor was opened in February 2003.
