him, and it does not emanate from <strong>Leopold</strong>. <strong>The</strong><br />

doctor suggested it to him. " <strong>The</strong> questioning was<br />

directed toward the possibility of some of them hav-<br />

ing been considered. He described having in a jok-<br />

ing way proposed that his own younger brother<br />

Tommy be the victim, and his associate jokingly<br />

agreed with it ; but they gave up the idea because it<br />

was not practical, for this reason: that Tommy hav-<br />

ing disappeared, the patient would have to be at<br />

home, and with the family, during the period of the<br />

hunt, and could not be footloose to carry out the<br />
