a. Work in groups. Make signs for the classroom.<br />

• Make notes on the kind of signs you want to show in your classroom: prohibition,<br />

warnings, information, rules and regulations, fun, etc. You can choose only one<br />

kind or you can have a combination of diff erent signs.<br />

• Work individually and write fi rst drafts of the signs your group chose.<br />

• Compare your fi rst drafts.<br />

• Decide on three signs and make fi nal versions with illustrations.<br />

• Display your signs on the classroom walls. Keep a copy of your signs in your portfolio.<br />

4 Use it!<br />

a. Divida la clase en grupos. Solicite que hagan señales<br />

para el salón de clases. Pida que decidan qué tipo de señales<br />

les gustaría tener: señales de prohibición, advertencia,<br />

informativas, sobre normas y reglas, entretenimiento, etcétera.<br />

Explique que pueden elegir un solo tipo de señales o diversos<br />

tipos. Indique a los alumnos que escriban individualmente un<br />

borrador de las señales elegidas por su grupo. Luego, pida<br />

que comparen sus borradores, que elijan tres señales y que<br />

elaboren versiones fi nales con ilustraciones. Solicite a los<br />

alumnos que exhiban su trabajo en las paredes del salón y que<br />

luego guarden una copia en su portfolio.<br />

Para concluir…<br />

Divida la clase en parejas. Solicite a los alumnos que escriban<br />

un letrero y que se lo lean a su compañero para que lo ilustre.<br />

Luego, pida que verifi quen que el letrero corresponde<br />

al dibujo. Invítelos a usar sus diccionarios.<br />
