Die Kugel alsdrehbares Absperrelement ist "schwimmend"gelagert mit Vorspannung zwischen Dichtschalenaus POM oder aus anderen Werkstoffen.Das Medium drückt in Fließrichtung beigeschlossener Stellung gegen die Kugel undpresst diese gegen die druckabgewandteDichtschale. Die Dauerdichtheit wird dadurchunterstützt.Lagerung und EinbauDie Kugelhähne sollen in Offenstellung mitSchutzkappen gelagert werden. The ball, as a rotatableclose-off unit, is pretensioned and "floats" in ashell seal made from POM or other suitablematerial.In the closed position the medium pressureacts against the ball in the flow direction, andpresses it against the pressure free side of theshell seal. The continuous leak-free function isthereby enhanced.Storage and InstallationThe ball valves should be stored in the openposition with dust caps fitted. They should alsobe installed in the open position, and, in orderto prevent damage to the shell seals by residuein the piping system, the system should beflushed before operating the valves.The ball valves open and close by turning thevalve key through 90°. An inbetween positionresults in an undesirable flow restriction.
