GRANOLA MUESLI WITH BERRY COMPOTE<br />

Muesli<br />

25g chopped pecan<br />

25g chopped walnut<br />

50g shredded coconut<br />

150g oats<br />

honey or maple syrup<br />

Berry compote<br />

1 cup of caster (superfine) sugar<br />

1 cup of water<br />

4 cups of berries<br />

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Combine the pecans, walnuts, coconut, and<br />

oats in a baking tray; and coat with equal amounts of honey and maple<br />

syrup.<br />

Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Cool at room temperature,<br />

then serve with berry compote, honey yoghurt and milk.<br />

For the berry compote place the sugar, water, and berries in a saucepan<br />

and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until<br />

it is a thick syrup.<br />
